Pacquiao drops Hatton in second round
LAS VEGAS -- Manny Pacquiao turned in perhaps the most dominating performance of his career Saturday night, knocking Ricky Hatton down twice in the first round before finally stopping him with a ferocious left hand in the final seconds of the second round.
Pacquiao showed why he is considered the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world with a stunning knockout that left Hatton lying motionless on his back in the middle of the ring.
Hatton had lost only once in his career, but he was no match for Pacquiao, who knocked him down midway through the first round and again towards the end of the round.
Hatton regrouped and made it through most of the second round before a chopping left hand sent him sprawling at 2:59 of the second round.
Manny Pacquiao throw a tremendous right hook in Hatton's jaw. It was actually the second KO. Everybody was still in shock and everyone is still discussing all the things that happened tonight. ROUND 1:I noticed Ricky Hatton doesn't feel confident on his fight. Before round 1 started, Ricky is taking a deep breath and while the referee is explaining the rules, RIcky doesn't look in Pacquiao's eyes. Pacquiao, on the other hand, was serious and looking at Hatton's face.In round 1, both players did a good job but Hatton was KO's in this round. The noise began to roar again and Pacquiao's fan can be seen cheering.ROUND 2:Everybody and even Pacquiao didn't knew that the second KO would mark the end of the fight. The referee went to Hatton and Hatton is still unconscious. Then that time, referee declared that the fight is over.
